Joe, is one of the key Brothers who gathered the group of Latino males who ultimately became our re-founders during the Spring 1984 semester at RPI.  It was through his forward thinking, that our Brotherhood was re-established paving the way for our fraternity’s growth.  Joe was the first full president of the refunding effort during his sophomore year. His efforts also brought about the birth of the Latin Gems which was a support group for Latina females that also began at RPI and grew to other campuses in the 1980s.  Joe’s work has also become part of Latino Greek history as these initiatives were key in the Latino Greek movement and significant growth during the 1980s and 1990s.
