Jesús A. Ibañez Memorial Fund

March 27, 2002

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Hermano Jesús A. ‘Don Lupo’ Ibañez. Jesús was very active working in the community, mentoring students, and had the opportunity to intern at the Columbia School of Professional Studies in Building Communities, specifically to focus on at-risk communities.

Scheduled to receive a degree in Sociology and Political Science, he hoped to advocate for orphans, foster children, and at-risk youth. Hermano Ibañez was involved in President’s Leadership Class, Miracle Mindset family, High School Leadership Conference Team, Latinos Without Borders, Student Government, and Crimson Club.

A founder the Beta Psi Chapter while attending the University of Oklahoma. Jesus loved to travel to Miguel Auza in Zacatecas, with his family originating from there. Living by the quote from his dad “Asi es”, Don Lupo led life and a legacy of action and service.
