It is with great pleasure that The 1931 Foundation announces the 2021 F.I.A. Merit Scholarship recipients. This year we are pleased to announce that we disbursed our inaugural graduate student F.I.A. Merit Scholarship. Both recipients are outstanding members of Phi Iota Alpha who exhibited academic achievement and chapter leadership during the 2010-2021 academic year. Below is the list of inaugural recipients of the 2021 F.I.A. Merit Scholarship recipients:
Jorge Ramirez
Jorge is a senior at Denison University perusing his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Spanish and a member of the Beta Zeta Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Bro. Ramirez is this years Senior recipient of the F.I.A. Merit Scholarship. “I am grateful and honored to have received this scholarship from the 1931 Foundation. Receiving this scholarship will help reduce my financial burden as I enter my final semester as an undergraduate. Once again, I greatly appreciate this opportunity from the 1931 Foundation!”
Francisco A. Zamora
Francisco is a graduate student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at currently pursuing a doctorate of Physical Therapy and a alumnus of the Alpha Nu Chapter Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Bro. Zamora is the inaugural recipient of graduate student F.I.A. Merit Scholarship.
Each scholarship recipient was awarded $500. The 1931 Foundation heartily congratulates the award recipients and wishes all the applicants continued success in their educational endeavors. Since 2021, the 1931 Foundation has dispersed $2,500 in scholarships.
