The 1931 Foundation Celebrates Record-Breaking GivingTuesday

New York, New York | November 30, 2022

The 1931 Foundation is thrilled to announce that it raised a record-breaking $4,559 in donations from generous community members. This marks the most funds raised during a Giving Tuesday campaign in the organization’s three-year history.

Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and encourages people to support nonprofit organizations and make a positive impact in their communities.

The funds raised during this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign will go towards supporting the F.I.A. Merit Scholarship, which recognizes deserving Phi Iota Alpha undergraduates and graduate students that exhibit academic achievement and chapter leadership. The scholarship helps these students pay for college expenses.

A total of 33 donors contributed to the campaign, including four matching gifts. “We are so grateful for the support we received during Giving Tuesday,” said Carlos Famadas, Chairman of The 1931 Foundation. “These donations will go a long way in helping us achieve our mission and make a difference in the lives of deserving students through the F.I.A. Merit Scholarship.”

The 1931 Foundation would like to thank all of its donors for their generosity and support. Giving Tuesday may be over, but the organization is always accepting donations and encourages others to get involved in their mission year-round.
